This Week: A message from John, Dance Assembly, ACDFA Refunds, Guest Teacher in Technique D, Dance Intensives and Workshops, Kudos & Shout-Outs, and Other Mason Gross Events.

Congratulations to choreographers, performers and crew for the successful performances this weekend for the first two BFA senior concert programs.  One more BFA senior program performs on Thursday and Friday night this week at 7:30, then on to DancePlus.  I hope everyone is staying healthy and enjoying the time in the theater. Try to savor it, as it goes by fast.
Please as performers and choreographers respect our theater spaces as you do our studios.  Remember do not bring valuables to the theater if possible and don’t leave your stuff lying about in the green room.  There are some lockers in the green room now so you can bring a lock to secure valuables if you need to.

Don’t forget there is Dance Assembly this week; attendance required for all BFA dance majors.

All students who attended ACDFA in Brockport, NY will be receiving refunds for some of their festival expenses. Please do not bring your concerns to the front office about this anymore.  The refunds are being processed through Financial Aid, not the Dance Department.  The refund will be applied towards your spring 2014 tuition bill. If you don’t have a balance you will be given a check. However, if you have an outstanding balance the refund will be applied directly to your bill.

The video is large and takes a while to load but worth it to see our colleagues featured in this nationally presented video. Kudos to faculty member Doug Elkins for being mentioned in the New York Times for his “Mo(or)town Redux”: a modern-dress version to Motown music. Read the article here.
